Actor Karthi, who was last seen in the Maniratnam directorial disastrous flick Kaatru Veliyidai, which had him Playing a fighter pilot, is back on screens this week, with his action-packed cop thriller Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru/ Khaki, which has opened to unanimously positive reviews with both critics and audience lapping up the film.
Directed by H.Vinoth who had previously directed the con flick Sathuranga Vettai way back in 2014, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru is based on the deadly operation bhawaria that was a massive successful operation conducted by Tamilnadu police to hunt down Highway dacoity gang which existed between 1995-2005.
Karthi plays Theeran, the officer in charge of the operation in the film, and his Performance is earning laurels for him from all fraternity, including the police department, as Officer Jangid who lead the operation, in reality, has appreciated the makers for honoring the TN police with such a gripping, well-made film. With growing collections, the film is all set to become Karthi's biggest hit, and also extends his Khaki luck which began with Siruthai (2011).
'Khakee' has already reached the profit zone and the movie seems to be growing well with the positive word of mouth. Earlier 'Garuda Vega' brought profits and now 'Khakee' joins the list. These movies have done what Mahesh's 'SPYder' and Junior NTR's 'Jai Lava Kusa' couldn't do to the theater owners and distributors.
