Of late, it has become common that one or the other big flick faces troubles, replacements, stars exiting after shooting, call sheet troubles and remuneration issues. However, now few such issues in the Tamil film industry have become a huge matter of concern.
Star comedian Vadivelu was signed to play the lead role in Imsai Arasan 24 am Pulikesi, the sequel to his Imsai Arasan23 Am Pulikesi by Simbu Deven. However the actor, even after getting 70% of his remuneration hasn't reported to shoots, thereby wasting the time and money of director Simbu Deven and Producer Shankar, and the irked producer has made a complaint.
Similarly, complaints have been registered against Simbu for not reporting to the shooting of his last release Anbanavan Asarathavan Adangathavan AAA properly, thereby giving producer Michael Rayappan losses to the tune of 40 crores, and Trisha for exiting from Saamy 2 without proper notice. It is to be seen if these stars will be given red cards banning them from acting by the actors association lead by Nasser, Vishal and Karthi.
