Actress Trisha was recently conferred with the UNICEF celebrity advocate status for child rights at an event. She also became the first actress to receive such an honor as earlier Bollywood celebrities like Nandita Das, Madhuri Dixit, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Raveena Tandon were conferred with such statuses.
Most of them predicted that Trisha could enter politics and make some changes to the society. But Trisha made it clear that just because she indulges in social related works, no one should judge that she is going to enter politics.
The actress said, "I am going to work closely with the Government officials and create awareness in health, education, nutrition and protection of children in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. I request children not to take things seriously which we show in movies as they are just fantasies.
This UNICEF celebrity status is indeed an honor for me. Students should have a proper sex education. Girl children, in particular, should know about Good touch and Bad touch. I will do as much as possible."
