The Goan beauty Ileana D'Cruz, who started off her film career with successful flicks in Tollywood like Devadasu, Pokiri, Julayi to name a few, never returned to Telugu, after entering Bollywood with Anurag Basu Directorial Barfi opposite Ranbir Kapoor, which fetched her rave reviews for her subtle performance.
However post the success of Barfi, she never really got a big success, as her, later flicks like Phata Poster Nikla Hero and Main Tera Hero, couldn't help her career. And then came Akshay Kumar starrer Rustom and Ajay Devgn starrer Baadshaho, which have resurrected Ileana D'Cruz's career.
Now, it has been revealed that the petite Beauty will be playing Uzma Ahmad, an Indian national who was forced to Marry a Pakistani and was rescued by Indian officials. Though initially Parineeti Chopra was supposed to play the lead role in this biopic directed by Shivam Nair of Naam Shabana fame, it has been now reported that Ileana has replaced her. Ileana will also be seen in Ajay Devgn's next movie.
