It's a known fact that the renowned director Sundar.C is currently busy with his new film Kalakalappu 2, and is also producing it in his Avni Cinemax banner. The film, much like its first installment, will be a comic caper and is guaranteed to be a fun-filled entertainer, as Sundar is known for his humour sense.
This time around, the director has partnered with a fresh cast, including Jiiva, Jai, and the two hotties Nikki Galrani and Catherine Tresa, as opposed to the casting of the first part which had Vimal, Oviya, Anjali, and has retained only Mirchi Shiva from the original cast. Besides, Nandita Swetha has also played a small cameo in Kalakalappu 2.
Recently, it was announced that, after a tightly packed 45 days schedule, the film's shooting was wrapped up. The film was shot extensively in Kasi, Kumbakonam and Pollachi, and with only post production pending, Sundar.C aims to release Kalakalappu 2 on Pongal, making it a tough contest between Irumbuthirai, Thaanaa Serndha Koottam and Sketch. Post the release of Kalakalappu 2, Sundar will move to his biggie Sangamitra which is touted to be India's costliest movie.
