National Award Winning Director and Producer Cheran have conducted a sit-in protest inside the Producers' Council office as he demanded TFPC President Vishal to step down from his post as he has decided to contest in the RK Nagar bypoll elections.
Vishal filed his nomination as an independent candidate at RK Nagar elections. He is also the General Secretary of Nadigar Sangam and Producers' Council. Director Cheran who spoke to the press said, "Nadigar Sangam never need any support from any party.
But Producers always need the support of the ruling party and Vishal's decision is just going to affect Producers as he is going to clash with the ruling party. All the perks and benefits which has to be approved by the Government will be stopped due to him. Vishal never did anything noteworthy for the Producers' Council after winning the elections." It should be noted that the same Cheran already lashed out Vishal as Power Hungry and Selfish during the Producers' Council elections too.
