Popular Tamil director AR Murugadoss, who's known for his hits like Dheena, Ramana, and Ghajini, recently hit an all-time low with his last release, the big budget spy action thriller SPYder starring Superstar Mahesh Babu and Rakul Preet Singh, with SJ Surya shining as the psychotic antagonist.
Having been known for his ability to lift stories without giving due credits, with Christopher Nolan's Memento turning into Ghajini, Pay It forward as Stalin, plagiarizing Gopi Nainar's Moothakudi as Kaththi, and cleverly but poorly Indianizing Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight as Spyder, being the instances, now the director is all set to do a remake, a proper one.
This time around, he'll be remaking the Oscar award-winning blockbuster Million Dollar Baby, directed by Clint Eastwood and starring himself and Hilary Swank, in Hindi, with Akshay Kumar and TV actress Marina Kuwar in lead roles. It must be noted that Murugadoss scored a success with Holiday starring Akshay Kumar, but failed with Akira starring Sonakshi Sinha.
