Bollywood perfectionist Aamir Khan had last delivered the biggest blockbuster of Indian cinema with the Nitesh Tiwari directorial sports drama Dangal which toppled Tollywood blockbuster magnum opus Baahubali.
The actor recently had a release in the form of Thugs of Hindostan directed by his Dhoom 3 maker Vijay Krishna Acharya and bankrolled by Yashraj films. The movie costars Aamir's Dangal costar Fatima Sana Shaikh and Dhoom 3 co-star Katrina Kaif.
After creating an Indian box office record becoming Indian opener with 52 crores on opening day, thugs of Hindostan had a huge drop due to extremely negative word of mouth and reviews and the second day had just 28 crores gross despite 5000 screens and is set to become Aamir's biggest failure in the past decade.
