National award winning actor Dhanush who was last seen in the critically acclaimed, raw and rustic gangster drama Vada Chennai directed by Vetrimaran, was last seen with the movie Maari 2. However, the sequel ended as an average venture.
Released as a Christmas treat, the movie directed by Balaji Mohan and costarring Sai Pallavi has been received well by masses and was expected to be a commercial success. But it ended midway. Now the actor has begun his next project as well.
After Pollathavan, Aadukalam and Vada Chennai, director Vetrimaran and Dhanush are joining hands for an action thriller named Asuran which will be bankrolled by Kalaipuli S Thanu's V Creations and after this quickie, Dhanush will start Vada Chennai 2. Shruti is expected to be part of 'Asuran'.
