Akhil Akkineni entry in Manam is best of Tollywood debuts and he is also happy for fans response to his entry, he felt happy that Manam is a big gift to ANR and said hope he will reach out to fans with better movies in future. Apart from this he said he is also worried and tensed in acting for Manam said Akhil.
Speaking about how Vikram influenced him and how he liked this movie "Vikram had come up with this idea of casting me in the film and he asked my father if I will act or not over the phone. One day my father asked me if I will act in that role and I met Vikram Kumar then. He narrated me my role and I was very happy because my character has importance and without my role, the climax cannot be finished."
"Walking to the sets on the first day of my shoot, I was very nervous and when I was in the caravan, my hands started to shake and I got butterflies in my stomach. I used to call Vikram for every two minutes and ask him to come explain my scenes. After three or four times, Vikram asked me to calm down and everything will be OK. I really can't describe the amount of nervousness I felt then and the excitement I had. When someone called me from my make up room, the walk from there to the spot felt like one hour. I was eagerly waiting to see my grandfather in action with me onscreen. It was a beautiful experience and I don't think I will ever get such an experience again", Akhil added.
