Gone are the days a film success is calibrated on the basis of its run. Now a days movie success is based on the openings and collections. The mantra is releasing the film in as many theaters as possible and getting collections in the first 3 weeks. Anything after the three weeks run is a bonus. Hence the theory of 50 days and 100 days is almost extinct now.
Despite the trend, Nandamuri Balakrishna's Legend has managed to complete 100 days in 25 direct centers. The movie is a success commercially too having collected more than 40 Crores. With Legend, Balayya became the first Senior actor to have a film in 40 Crore share club. On the other side, this year is also remarkable for Balayya in terms of Politics too.
The actor made his political entry successfully. He won the Hindupur Assembly seat with thumping majority. Fans are planning to celebrate Legend 100 days function on 3rd June at Gurunadha theater, Hindupur. Nandamuri Balakrishna, director Boyapati Srinu, Producers of 14 Reels Entertainments and Vaarahi Chalana Chitram production houses and fans will grace the event.
Organizing this event in Hindupur will mean that both the film and political successes are celebrated together. The movie is completing 100 days on 5th of this month. Since Balakrishna will be unavailable on the day due to his shooting schedule, fans are celebrating the eve 2 days early.
