Tollywood musical world is making huge changes from past two years and many young talented heads are seen as top music directors these days. Despite of having top music directors even North film industry is grabbing music directors like Devi sri Prasad for Bollywood films shows us the change in Telugu cinema music.
During his recent visit to Hyderabad, Sohail Sen said, "I am a big fan of Venkatesh and I have grown up watching his films which were dubbed in Hindi. So, when I was approached to score music for the remake, I came onboard immediately . Besides, music has no barriers."
We have great music directors like Ilayaraja and A R Rahman, to name a few, operating from Chennai. So, this sudden influx of new talent in Telugu cinema isn't a new trend," says Krishna Chaitanya, one of Tollywood's leading lyricist. adding, "However, what has changed in recent times is the awareness amongst filmmakers and audience alike. Back in the 80s and 90s, even if someone was doing astounding work in other languages, it was difficult to listen to their music. Now, the Internet has changed everything and people are exposed to all sorts of music. It's all about exploring new avenues and finding a common ground to bring out the best that's suitable for a film."
