After bagging a stupendous success in Malayalam and Kannada, Drishyam is seeing a monumental success in Telugu too. The movie which had a very good first week had seen some excellent crowds over the second weekend. Some of the territories have registered better numbers on Sunday than the release day. The Bonalu festival on Sunday helped the movie immensely in Nizam. Similar trend is visible in all the territories as there are no prominent releases last week.
With the excellent positive word of mouth, Families are thronging in to the movie theaters to watch the film. As expected the film is doing well in the A centers than in B,C centers. The movie has collected over 13 Crores in the first 10 days of its release. Trade Pundits predict the movie to collect 25 Crores share worldwide in its full run which will make the film the most successful film this year in terms of return on investment.
It is known that the movie has already collected the production costs (excluding Venkatesh's remuneration) through the satellite rights which were picked up by Gemini TV for a whopping 5.5 Crores. So, all that the movie collects now is the profits. Sri Priya has directed this film while Meena, Nadia and Kruthika are the other actors. Suresh Babu and Raj Kumar have jointly produced this flick. Drishyam was first made in Malayalam starring Mohanlal and Meena. Kamal Hassan is going to star in the Tamil remake of the movie which had its launch recently.
