Tamil Superstar Suriya's Anjaan is being dubbed in Telugu as Sikinder. The movie in which the actor plays a don was released in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on a grand scale but received a flop talk on the day one. A dubbing film naturally should disappear with out trace with that kind of talk but Sikinder has registered a strong opening and collected approximately 3 Crore share on the release day. The opening day collections is the fifth highest opening for any film in Telugu this year. This is also the highest opening registered by a dubbing hero other than Rajinikanth in Telugu. Experts expect the movie to do well this weekend despite the talk and the range of the film will be decided on Monday on gauging how the movie sustains on the week day. Lagadapati Sridhar had bagged the Telugu rights of the movie for 11 Crore and luckily he had sold the film for 15 Crore. So, the producer is in safe side with 4 Crore Table profit. We will have to see if the distributors manage to break-even. Suriya's last film, Brothers was a flop in Telugu and it collected 9 Crore in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Given the negative talk, definitely a loss is in cards for distributors due to high rates quoted. Samantha is the female lead in the movie. The movie is 'Anjaan' in Tamil and is having a simultaneous release there. Linguswamy is wielding the megaphone while Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music composer.
