Telangana issue had tormented Telugu Film industry for several years. Shootings used to be attacked and film screenings used to be stalled in the agitation days whenever the agitators want to show protest to the government. But troubles of Telugu Film industry seem to be far from over even after the formation of 29th state of the country. With the instructions of the government, Telugu film industry had shut shop entirely. All the shootings and post productions came to a stand still in the state. Not only films. the production of TV serials also came to a stop. Film theaters of the state remained shut for the Morning and Matinee shows affecting the collections of several films like Run Raja Run, Geethanjali, Sikindar etc. It is said that one day holiday for Telugu film industry brought in about 15 Crore Loss. Some of the big films like Aagadu and Govindhudu Andari Vaadele are working day and night so as to release their films as planned for Dussehra. This one day holiday will delay things for both the films and will pose new challenge to the makers to catch the deadlines. Over 369,000 state government employees, including police and teachers, are on field conducting the survey across 10 districts of Telangana and survey 8.4 million household. The entire exercise which started 8AM today will end by 8PM tonight. Film theaters are planning to resume their screenings from the Evening shows.
