Superstar Mahesh Babu's Aagadu which released in a record number of theaters on Friday did not have an outing on par with the release. The movie opened sensationally in the Overseas for the premiere crossing previous record of Attarintiki Daredi by a huge margin. There is an unprecedented demand for the benefit shows back home with each ticket costing 1500 at some places.
However the steam could not be sustained with the talk emerging from the Overseas premiers and benefit shows. Mahesh Babu's weak area, Ceeded is the first to effect and slowly the talk had its impact on all the areas. Before the release every one are expecting a first day total of above 10 Crore but it is not the case with Below Average to Average talk. Finally the film ended up collecting 9.88 Crore share (AP+TG) on its release day. This is the second biggest First day figure after Attarintiki Daredi.
