Pawan Kalyan had immediately started working on the sequel to Gabbar Singh after the release of his Attarintiki Daredi last year. For several months, the film did not go on floors. Some said the film was paused due to Pawan Kalyan’s back problems while some said Pawan is not fully satisfied with the script of Sampath Nandi.
After few months, news reports have come out about the movie getting shelved, in order to put a break to them the makers have held the Muhurtham ceremony of the movie. Months have passed after the launch. Pawan even started the shooting of his Gopala Gopala which materialized after Gabbar Singh-2 but there is no official word about Gabbar Singh-2. Fans and common audience have almost forgot the film and started to move on.
It is then the makers have started giving some intentional leaks about the heroine of the film and other details while nothing is actually happening. Sharath Marar, the producer of this film is formerly CEO of NTV and has good contacts with all media groups. He is using all his good contacts to make sure the movie is in public memory in some way or other. Gabbar Singh-2 is not a continuation of the original Gabbar Singh but the actor will again be a police officer with similar attitude of the original and the similarity ends there. The story will now be set in Chambal Valley.
