Looks like 2014 is the season of small films. Small films have yielded more successes this year (in terms of Return on Investments) than star films. Nikhil's Karthikeya is also slowly becoming a part of this. The film which released last Friday has made a merry in the Diwali holiday weekend. The movie has amassed 2.75 Crore share Worldwide in these three days.
The film has performed very well in United States too collecting around 75-80 Lakhs gross in its opening weekend despite poor planning of the distributor there. The movie is rock steady even on the Weekends. It has remained strong in all A Centers and collected good numbers on its First Monday and is continuing the same show today too according to the latest available reports.
Positive of Word of Mouth is immensely helping the movie at the box office. Most of the buyers have entered in to profit zone by Sunday itself. Karthikeya is the second success on a trot to Nikhil after Swamy Ra Ra. Interestingly Colours Swathi is the female lead in both Swamy Ra Ra and Karthikeya and further both of them are directed by new directors as well.
