Manchu Manoj's recent release, Current Teega is having a mixed run at the box office even before the first weekend of its release. The film which opened good on the release day, slowed down considerably on Saturday. The film picked up marginally well on Sunday and collected close to 3.6 Crore in the first weekend of its release. However the movie had taken a massive plunge on Monday and the similar scenario is expected to continue in all the week days.
The film now have a massive uphill task to at least become an 'average' at the box office. The film has to do exceptionally well at the box office in its second weekend competing against the new releases like Joru, Ice Cream-2, Jai Hind-2 and Brother of Bommali. The film's run is an indication of negative impression Manchu family amassed in audience as the film failed to encourage audience to come to theaters even with positive word of mouth.
Current Teega is the official remake of Tamil film, Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam. Glamour quotient of Rakul Preet Singh and Sunny Leone and Comedy Track between Manoj and Tagubothu Ramesh are said to be the major highlights of the film. Nageswara Reddy who earlier directed Manchu Vishnu's Denikaina Ready has directed the film. We will have to see if Current Teega also ends up as a success just like Denikaina Ready.
