Young Tiger NTR has missed Sankranthi Season for various reasons plaguing his upcoming film, Temper. Nandamuri fans found solace that at least Kalyan Ram's Pataas will be releasing for Sankranthi. However now Kalyan Ram also backed out of Sankranthi race and as a result, there will no Nandamuri film for this year Sankranthi which is considered as the biggest festive season for Telugu Cinema.
Senior Producer and Distributor, Dil Raju has bagged Pataas Rights for both the Telugu States. However Dil Raju is not at all interested in releasing the film for Sankranthi. He do not want the film to be crushed between big films like Shankar's I and Gopala Gopala releasing for Sankranthi. So Dil Raju convinced Kalyan Ram against Sankranthi release.
Pataas will now be releasing on January 23rd (Friday). There is a long weekend that week due to holiday for Republic day and Dil Raju feels it as a good date to release. Kalyan Ram will be seen as a Police officer in the movie. This is the second time Kalyan Ram donning the Khaki dress. He had done it earlier for Hare Ram movie.
Sai Kumar is playing a vital role while Brahmanandham, MS Narayana, Posani and Jaya Prakash Reddy will be taking care of comedy.Touted to be a romantic mass entertainer, Famous Punjabi actress, Shruti Sodhi is all set to make her Telugu debut beside Nandamuri Kalyan Ram in this film. Sai Karthik will be composing the tunes while Sarvesh Murari will be cranking the camera. Kalyan Ram himself will be producing the film on his NTR Arts banner.
