Director Gunasekhar ran in to trouble after a cheque bounce case is filed on him. The case is filed by actor Suman who played an important role in his Rudramma Devi movie. Gunasekhar who is also the producer of the film promised 5 Lakhs remuneration for Suman.
The actor completed his portion of shooting and was given a cheque for the same amount. However the cheque got bounced. Suman was trying to reach Gunasekhar for several days but the director was continuously avoiding him. It is said that the Police are trying to reach Gunasekhar and solve the issue amicably.
On the other side, the post production works of Rudramma Devi is going on at a brisk pace. Guna is planning to release the movie in March to cash the Summer holidays advantage. This is his first production venture and he invested a bomb on it as it is a 3D film with historical backdrop. He even went on to use real Gold jewelry for Anushka in the movie.
Anushka has played the title role while Daggubati Rana played her lead. Allu Arjun was roped in for the crucial Gona Gana Reddy role. Maestro Ilaiyaraja is composing music for this film. Guna dug in to the history to make the movie's script as authentic as possible. Art director Thota Tharani has created magnificent structures of then increasing the Grandeur of the film.
