Powerstar Pawan Kalyan and Victory Venkatesh's Gopala Gopala has completed its full run in Nizam. The movie is getting no share there further. Whatever the little shares it gets on Weekend will be used for feeding on Week days. The closing figure in Nizam will be 11.88 Crore.
Even collecting close to 12 Crore, the movie can not be termed as a hit here. The movie was bought by Dil Raju for 13.50 Crore. Which means he had incurred a loss of around 1.6 Crore and the film will be a flop there. 11.88 Crore is a very good figure for the unconventional subject but the exorbitant price put by Dil Raju made it a loss venture.
This is the case with many star films these days. Distributors run a rat race mindlessly and put exorbitant prices and finally incur losses. As a result, few films even if collected well, ended up as loss venture in many areas. In the last one year, no star film except Race Gurram and Manam, worked out commercially to the trade.
Gopala Gopala luckily got the help of Sankranthi season which benefited it immensely in drawing the crowds in holiday season. If not then, the losses will be even more. Also there is no competition at all for the movie from other star heroes which is usually the case for Sankranthi. Shankar's I luckily got flopped and saved Gopala Gopala.
