Puri Jagannadh had sensational successes in his kitty over the years. But it is all past and the ace director is bogged down by back to back failure in recent times. His recent release, Temper has got him the much required success he is waiting for several years. But the success also could not satisfy him in all the ways.
Usually Puri Jagannadh charges 8 Crore as remuneration for each of his movies. However he managed only 50% of that for Temper. Bandla Ganesh paid him an advance of 2.5 Crore before the movie. He did not pay the agreed amounts to NTR and Puri so they paused the movie shooting midway. Finally Bandla Ganesh agreed to give West Godavari rights for Puri.
Puri Jagannadh was so confident of the film. He did not sell the West Godavari rights and instead released the movie on his own through Suresh distributors. It looks like the movie will collect at most 1.70 Crore there in its full run. If we take Suresh commission and other expenses from it. Puri may have left with 1.5 Crore from maiden distribution venture.
So, Puri may have got only 4 Crore from Temper which is half his usual remuneration. It is said that Bandla Ganesh also did not pay him the agreed remuneration fully for their earlier movie, Iddarammayilatho. So it is loss making time for Puri Jagannadh despite getting the much awaited success.
