The picture above is taken at the 100 days function of Universal Hero Kamal Hassan's Classical Superhit film, Swathi Muthyam way back in 1985. You can see Megastar Chiranjeevi and Bollywood Superstar Raj Kapoor who attended the event as Chief guests.
Chiranjeevi and Raj Kapoor are presenting the 100 days shield to Kamal Hassan and Radhika who played hero and heroine in the movie. The film written and directed by K.Viswanath is treated as a classic in Telugu films even today.
The movie was later dubbed into Tamil as "Sippikul Muthu". Upon its success, the movie was later remade in Hindi as Eeshwar and in Kannada as Swathi Muthu. The film is about an autistic person who turns down the existing social customs and traditions for a good cause.
The film was nominated by India as its official entry for the Best Foreign Language Film for the Oscar Awards that year. The movie also had a rare distinction of have a silver jubilee run in all major centers of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
