Mega Prince Varun Tej stumbled up on the starting step of his career as his debut film, Mukunda went on to become a big flop. Many criticized Mega family for misguiding Varun Tej with an unconventional subject for the first film. But Varun Tej still wants to take the experimental route only.
There are reports his next film with director Krish is that a period drama set in the pre-independence era dealing with the social, economic and personal differences between people belonging to the era. There are rumours that Varun Tej is playing the role of an Indian soldier in German Dictator Hitler’s Army during the Post 2nd World War period
Currently the preproduction of the film is going on at brisk pace. The major challenge is to find locations suiting those times. We are said that the makers are considering 'Kanche' (Fence) which relates to border as the title of the film. However it is not finalized. The film will have its launch on 27th of this month.
Krish is currently working on his first Bollywood venture, Gabbar which is the remake of Chiranjeevi's Tagore. Akshay Kumar is playing the lead role in the film. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is producing the film under ‘SLB Films’ banner. Sanjay earlier made ‘Rowdy Rathore’ with Akshay Kumar. Varun Tej's film will start rolling after Gabbar release there. On the other side Varun Tej is working on the physique necessary for the character in the film. It is also said that he is still taking the acting classes to better his performance in the second film.
