In the picture above is Akkineni Nageswara Rao and his wife Annapurna with young Akhil. This photograph was taken at Annapurna Studios on the day when the launch of Akhil's first film, Sisindri. ANR sounded the clap board for that film on that day.
Sisindri is the Indian adaptation to Hollywood's Baby's Day Out (1994). The film went on to become a big Hit at box-office back then. Akhil's real life father, Nagarjuna also played a little cameo in the film.
Akhil was away from camera from several years after that. However he is back to the public domain with his stint in Celebrity Cricket League. His excellent performance in those tournaments gained him immense popularity in Telugu audience.
Akhil played a little cameo in their family multistarer movie, Manam. The actor is all set to make his full fledged debut as an actor with his upcoming film to be directed by VV Vinayak. The regular shooting of the movie recently began and there is lot of hype surrounding this project.
