Movie Artistes Association (MAA) elections have taken a new twist after the court asked the Election Commission to withhold the results until further notice. Actor cum Producer O.Kalyan who is contesting for Executive Vice President Post filed a petition to stall the elections alleging irregularities in favour of Jayasudha Panel.
Court Issue
The court issued notices to Ali, Murali Mohan and the election commission regarding the issue. After listening to the arguments of both the sides, the court allowed the elections to continue but asked not to disclose the results until their further notice. The court also ordered to shoot the video of the entire polling.
Rajendra Prasad and Jayasudha contesting for MAA President
Rajendra Prasad and Jayasudha are fiercely contesting for the MAA President post. Naga Babu and Mega Family is supporting Rajendra Prasad while Murali Mohan is behind Jayasudha. Entire industry is divided on caste lines in this election issue. The polling for this election will now take place as usually tomorrow in the Film Chamber.
Shivaji Raja support to Rajendra Prasad
Rajendra Prasad even did not have panel in this elections after two of his supporters announced quitting the election. Shivaji who is contesting for Chief Secretary post and Uttej who is in fray for Joint Secretary Post announced their withdrawal. However Shivaji Raja still committed his support to Rajendra Prasad.
