Raghava Lawerence's Ganga had missed a golden week by missing out this weekend release due to financial issues. The makers have tried their level best to release the film even on Saturday or Sunday but could not. And now the movie is moved further. April 24th or May 1st are the dates in consideration.
The release will depend on solving the problems at hand. April 24th will mean that it will have to clash with Naga Chaitanya's Dochay and May 1st will mean that clashing with Balakrishna's Lion and Kamal Hassan's Uttama Villain. Tragedy is that both Balakrishna and Naga Chaitanya have timed their release well to get maximum benefit with out competition, but will now have to face the music.
Clash Inevitable?
Kanchana-2, the Tamil version of Ganga is released on Friday and is going on great guns at the box office. The talk there would have helped the film here if it released here in this weekend. But it is not the case now. Ganga had made a prerelease business of 13 Crore in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh which is remarkable considering the star value of the project.
