Surender Reddy had over enthusiastically announced Kick-3 towards the end of Kick-2. But the disastrous result of Kick-2, pushes Kick-3 to back burner. More than the result of Kick-2, it has to be the highheadedness of Surender Reddy that prompted shelving of this movie. Raviteja came out in open to lambast Surender Reddy's decisions.
"I told him the film is too lengthy. But he would not listen", Raviteja openly admited in an interview. He went on to say his open for Kick-3 before media but it is said that he say a strict No to Surender Reddy. Raviteja hard earned two hits — Balupu and Power after six consecutive flops. He wants to stay in success streak but Surender Reddy spoiled it all.
So the actor is visibly angry. Producer Kalyan Ram had incurred heavy losses on Kick-2 solely due to Surender Reddy. Also no producer will be interested in Kick-3 now. So Kick franchise may have ended with the part-2 itself. It is said that Kalyan Ram had also cut some part of Surender Reddy's remuneration for the movie.
