Actor Vadivelu seems to have a bad time these days. The ace comedian after making Political entry is facing downhill. None of his movies made an impact or a successful note. As 'Thenali Raman' failed, he made a comeback with Spy Comedy movie titled 'Eli'.
Yuvaraj Dhayalan written and directed the project. He earlier directed Vadivelu for 'Thenali Raman'. Music is composed by Vidyasagar. The movie released on June 19th 2015 and opened to negative reviews. The movie was funded by G.Sathish Kumar under City Cine Creations banner.
Vadivelu lashed out at critics
On hearing negative reviews, Vadivelu lashed out at critics and openly said those who don't like his movies are 'Psychos'. The press meet ended with some rage from Vadivelu. In this case the Producer of Eli has given a complaint to Chennai commissioner and in his statement he has said,
A Tanjore native real estate agent has alleged that Vadivelu convinced him into movie production by making tall claims about the demand for the satellite rights of his movies.'Eli' was made in a huge budget of 12 Crores and the movie failed. A leading satellite channel came forward to pay a sum of Rs.10 Crores. But Vadivelu interfered and said that some other channel will come and purchase the movie for a better price. In the end, I have lost all my hard earned money.
