Andhra Pradesh government had announced the holidays for the upcoming Dussehra festival. The holidays are from October 12th to 22nd which means Akhil Akkineni's debut movie, Akhil is releasing on the last day of the holiday season. After that first day advantage, the movie will only have the usual weekend advantage. So this holidays season is not benefitting the movie to a large extent at least in AP.
However this will help Gunasekhar's Rudhrama Devi and Ram Charan's Bruce Lee very much. Now the makers of Akhil are banking on the holidays in Telangana. Dussehra is a major festival for Telangana people and so there is a chance to get more holidays there. In such case, Akhil will be at advantage in Nizam. Rudhrama Devi is releasing on 9th, Bruce Lee on 16th and Akhil on 22nd of this month.
We have learnt that Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya are going to do little blink and miss roles in the introduction song of Akhil in the film. The song is currently being shot in Annapurna Studios and the makers are maintaining strategic silence about this as they want it to be a surprise for fans. Remember Akhil's cameo in Manam was also kept as a surprise till the last minute.
