Kollywood is right now in a bad patch where some reputed directors have lost their Midas touch. They can't recreate the magic which they have done during early stages of their career. The exact reason behind this is a mystery. Below are the list of directors who lost their touch midway
1. Lingusamy
Lingusamy
was a successful director who has blockbusters like 'Run', 'Sandakozhi' and
'Paiyaa' to his name. The director was on sky high until he directed 'Anjaan'.
After the colossal flop, he is still unable to recover. The director is still
unable to start his next project 'Enni Yezhu Naal'.
2. Rajesh
The
comedy director always have same formula for all his movies. And after three
hits, the fourth movie failed. 'Azhagu Raja' taught him a lesson. But even
after the failure, the director tried to make a comeback with 'Vasuvum
Saravananum Onaa Padichaanga', but that was also a failure
3. Venkat
Prabhu
Venkat Prabhu reached pinnacle by directing Ajith for 'Mankatha'. But then he directed 'Briyani' and 'Massu' which were commercial flops. At least 'Briyani' made a decent run. But 'Massu' was a huge flop and the director is still trying to snap out of it. No clue about the director's future projects.
