Gunasekhar had to undergo all sorts of trouble to complete and release his Rudhrama Devi. After numerous postponements the movie is releasing this Friday across the globe. Despite the postponements, there seem to be good interest on the film. The advance bookings for the film are too good. Analysts say that 7 Crore Share is guaranteed if Guna manages to release the film with out any last minute twists. 

Guna had brought Megastar Chiranjeevi for the voice-over and Allu Arjun for Gona Ganna Reddy role to bring some hype to the movie. Allu Arjun reportedly will appear 50 minutes in the movie. Bunny also revealed that he practiced Telangana dialect hard for his role in the film. This movie is a do or die situation for Gunasekhar as he is also the producer of the film. He is already is a very bad phase as a director. Failure of this film will bring in more troubles for him. 

Rudhrama Devi is said to be India's historical stereoscopic 3D film in which Anushka will play the title role while Rana will play the role of Chalukya Veerabhadrudu, the prince of Nidavardhyapuram (Present Nidadavole). Rudhrama Devi will have a free run at the box office until Bruce Lee release. The current releases, Subrahmanyam for Sale and Shivam had already lost their pace. If Rudhrama Devi manages to get some good talk and reviews, the movie will definitely get an extended run at the box office especially due to its genre.

The film has Anushka, Rana in lead roles and Krishnam Raju, Prakash Raj, Nathalia Kaur, Aditi Chengappa, Hamsa Nandini, Zara Shah, Jayaprakash Reddy will play other important roles. Maestro Ilaiyaraaja is scoring the music for the period drama. Padma Sri Thota Tharani is the art director and Ajay Vincent is the cinematographer. Guna says the movie had incurred an expenditure of 80 Crore for him
