Gunasekhar's Rudhrama Devi had a good opening on its release day. The movie has collected 9.17 Crore share in both the Telugu States on its day—1 which is the ninth highest first day figure in Tollywood. The movie was helped by the exemption of 15% Entertainment tax in Nizam region where it is strong.
Interestingly the movie is banking on Word of Mouth after no mainstream media had come up with a positive review. However we have to see if the steam continues even on Monday which is when the working days begin. Here is the breakup of Rudhrama Devi First Day Collections:
