Gunasekhar's Rudhrama Devi was super strong in Nizam region when compared to all the territories of the Telugu States. The movie has collected a whopping 3.5 Crore share in the Nizam region on its release day and the movie also got the 15% Entertainment Tax exemption in the Nizam region.

The audience in Nizam region seem to have connected with the movie well as it is the film about Telangana history. However the movie's good run today was hampered by the bandh call given by the opposition parties. The noon shows of the film were cancelled in many places as a result making the film run.

It is expected that the movie will resume from Matinees and the collections for the rest of the shows today and tomorrow are expected to be strong. Rudhrama Devi has done a  prerelease business of 59.3 Crore and the breakeven is a long way to go. The movie has collected 9.17 Crore share on its first day.

The Hindi and Malayalam versions of the film have also got a good start at the box office. The Tamil version of the movie will be releasing on October 16th. The project is a do or die situation for Gunasekhar as he is the producer of the film and he had invested all his hard earned money in to the project.
