These days lots of criticisms are coming over censor board. Producers are also facing heat as the movie can never be aired on TV if it is censored with 'A'. This is a huge blow as satellite rights alone play a huge role in getting back the investments.
Now Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) has decided to give a chance to producers. They have said they can make the movie to 'U/A' with little cuts and make it suitable for Television. The movie should be censored once again before the satellite rights is provided.
CBFC chairperson Pahlaj Nihalani says,
Regarding this CBFC chairperson Pahlaj Nihalani says,"We all are aware that 'A' rated movies have to be re-certified before telecast. But still producers find it a difficult process Now we'll allow producers to make the cuts that would make their 'A' films eligible for a 'UA' certificate and bring their movies to us."
This decision has been a boon to producers as they can easily breathe and make money from satellite rights. Also the movie might get better promotion with re-censors.
