An Indian woman has given a big blow to British Government by getting her appeal right. She was earlier deported for fixing sham marriages. Now she is allowed to return to United Kingdom to get re-united with her 9 year son. Due to legal reasons, we cannot provide the name of the woman.

The 46 year old woman has been sent to prison for two years as she entered UK with a fake passport. She was later deported. An immigration judge upheld her appeal to return to be with her son. Son was living with his British father. The order was challenged by UK Home Secretary Theresa May.

The appeal came to hearing yesterday and Lord Justice Underhill who heard the appeal said this decision can be a model for more such appeals. Reports said the woman who came as a tourist in 2002 was involved in bogus marriages.

And as a result she got to stay un UK. She was arrested and deported then. Her son was in Britain with his British father. But judges said the arrangement was too unsettling and based on the European Convention on Human Rights she was given permit to UK once again.
