Lok Sabha has stated that Countries which are important tourist centers have mentioned as dangerous places, while as far as India is concerned it is not in the safer side for the travel destinations. Meanwhile the Tourism Minister Mahesh Sharma has said vital business centers like US, Germany, Canada, France, Australia and Russia have cautioned their citizens as some parts of India is not safe to travel.
The Tourism Minister has said some countries officials have cautioned their citizens to visit some parts of our country. In India around 384 criminal cases are filed against murdering of foreign tourists in 2014, where Delhi is in the top position with 135 criminal cases.
A list continues in registering murder cases where 66 cases are registered in Goa, 64 cases in UP, 31 in Rajasthan and 25 murder cases are registered in Maharashtra. Each year there is growth in the Foreign Tourist Arrivals to India has increased from 69.67 Lakhs to 76.79 Lakhs and during 2015 nearly the growth rate has increased to 80 Lakhs foreigners have visited India.
The Tourism Minister has said safety and precautionary measures are taken to safeguard the foreigners, where to free Multi lingual helpline facility is catapulted for the ease of the foreigners. He further added the State CM’s and UT administrators are given instructions to take effective steps and a friendly environment for the tourists.
