Arun Jaitely was announced AIIMS to the Andhra Pradesh along with other states. UPA Government has promised AIIMS to AP in Telangana bill itself. Buzz has spread around that AIIMS will set up between Vijayawada and Guntur. State Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas was made this announcement many times. Now State Government is in search for the suitable land to set up AIIMS in Guntur district.
Union Health Minister Harshavardhan asked the respective State Chief Ministers on procurement of land for AIIMS. As per minister 200 acres of land required for AIIMS and 1500 crores of expenditure required. Harshavardhan also said that AP Government has already found the land in Guntur district. As per Kamineni Srinivas that Union Government has already sanctioned 120 crores for preliminary works.
Reportedly, the land super specialty hospital would found near Mangalagiri in the district. Well-Known Private NRI Hospital is there in Mangalagiri. Government Super Specialty is added another advantage in this area. AP Government has planned to like AIIMS with NTR Health University in Vijayawada.
