Akkineni Nagarjuna has decided to put an end to the ongoing controversy of his N-Convention center. Sensing that there will be no stopping to TRS government's harrassment tactics, the actor has sprung in to action to solve the issue. On his instruction, the Convention management itself is demolishing the constructions within the convention which are said to be in the buffer area of the Thummidikunta River. It may be noted that GHMC officials are yet to give a notice regarding the illegal constructions but Nagarjuna had voluntarily come forward to solve this issue. It is known that Nagarjuna has approached the high court for relief in the case but the court refused to issue stay or status quo on the construction but only instructed GHMC to take further action up on notice. It is known that GHMC officials allege 3.12 acres of Thammidikunta river was encroached for the 6.69 acres convention which is owned by actor Nagarjuna. The municipal corporation officials have also said that the construction did not have permissions from GHMC and also Nagarjuna is not paying any tax for GHMC for the past 5 years. On the other side, Nagarjuna argues that he had obtained all permissions before the construction and is paying property taxes. He also clarified that he already applied for regularization. However the regularization application is still pending and GHMC is planning to throw a notice and demolish the structures in the encroached land.
