Many twists and turns took place in Prakasam ZP Chairman Election since morning. Both parties have equal strength (28 each) of ZPTCs and everybody feels that “TOSS” is inevitable for the Chairman election. Markapur YSRCP member Venkata Ranga Reddy was arrested and sent for judicial custody in SC/ST atrocity case. YSRCP strength reduced to 27. Police were produced all party ZPTCs into election hall.
TDP has named its candidate Manne Ravindra for ZP Chairman. All the sudden TDP ZPTC Edara Hari Babu hs decided to stand for Chairman of ZP as an Independent. Edara was elected as TDP ZPTC and decided to stand as an Independent. This gives rude shock to the TDP. Edara is trying for TDP nominee but fails to get CBN approval. Edara used the situation politically to his favor. YSRCP also extended their support to Edara to hit TDP. Finally Edara bagged Prakasam ZP over TDP rival by one vote.
Nellore ZP Chairman Election is almost like suspense thriller. Officials asked ZPTC members to sit separately. TDP demands that YSRCP ZPTC members those who supported TDP wants to sit beside them. Officials not allowed sitting them beside TDP. Reportedly, TDP has majority of ZPTC members over YSRCP. But District Collector has decided to postpone the election again to July 22nd. YSRCP decided internally that winning Prakasam is very difficult so that it gives shock to TDP by supporting Independent (TDP Rebel).
