AP Government is in fast track to give permissions to the industrialists for their investments. Chief Minister CBN has showed his special interest inviting investments for the development of the state. Indian IT giant Wipro Technologies has come forward to expand its activities in AP. Then AP Government assigned 7.14 acres land 80lacs per acre to Wipro in Visakhapatnam. Wipro did its operations in 4 acres and left the remaining as empty. Wipro Chairman requested AP Government to include 4 acres and wants to declare as SEZ. There are around 650 employees are working in Wipro Vizag campus. Now with its extension in Vziag, more than 7K jobs have generated in Vizag. CBN agreed for Wipro request and immediately handed over “NOC” to its Chairman Azim Premji. Government is all set to clear terms and conditions in land allotments to the companies who want to put their investments in the state within 4 weeks. CBN has requested Azim Premji to extend Wipro services in remaining cities like Tirupathy, Kakinada and Vijayawada. Reportedly, Azim agreed on CM’s request. AP Governmemt confidently believed that Wipro entry will attract many other IT companies in AP. Santoor soap factory agreed to form its plant in Hindupur with an investment of 500 crores.
