While United AP had Reddy vs Kamma equation, the creation of new states of AP and TS has now altered this like never before. The Kamma equation is now almost non-existent in Telangana. With TRS emerging as the power centre now for the much neglected Velama caste, the dominant force now in TS is Reddys who are scattered between BJP, TDP and Congress.
With BJP never able to cultivate its own strong cadre in Telangana State and now with Congress in a state of disarray at both state and centre, sources say that TDP chief Naidu has chalked out a new strategy for the party.
Realizing that BC cadre may be a plus but not necessarily a BC CM candidate, Naidu is reportedly wooing Reddys in a big way in Telangana and some silent ground work is going to attract some key Reddy leaders from Congress in the region including disgruntled TRS leaders too.
Since it is said that at least for another ten years Congress may not recover, and with TRS mantle expected to be with KCR’s family firmly, sources say that there may be a big time Reddy colouring for TDP in near future!
