The state of Andhra Pradesh is all set to add a new district this Independence Day and sources say that AP CM Chandrababu is working quickly in this regard. After merging Polavaram submergence mandals of Khammam from Telangana to AP, new tribal mandals have now been added to Andhra Pradesh.
At the same time the adjacent mandals of West Godavari district have also been lamenting the fact that their district headquarters Kakinada is located faraway on sea coast. So, a new solution is being worked out on that issue.
Hence the new mandals are being added to the ones of West Godavari district and new district is being created in the name of Alluri Seetharama Raju. There has been a long demand from people of WG that their district should be renamed with the freedom fighter.
There are also reports that 14th district is being added because the number 13 is considered very inauspicious and also TDP is now rewarding the Kshatriya voters who have voted en masse for the party.
