TDP was never faced defeat soon after its inception in Hindupur Assembly Segment in any general elections. Late NTR won this Segment four times in a row, after that his son Hari Krishna was also elected as MLA bye-election in Hindupur. Now actor turned politician Balakrishna elected as MLA in 2014 general elections. Hero Balakrishna has continued in films even after his victory in Hindupur.
It’s difficult for Hero to visit Hindupur every time because of his busy in shootings. Balakrishna is selected his Personal Secretary Shekar to look after the development activities on behalf of him. This causes angriness to other TDP leaders in the segment. Even Hari Krishna also did the same when he was elected in 1996. There are many TDP leaders exist in the segment.
Balakrishna assigned the responsibilities to his PS Shekhar only to avoid unnecessary competition among the leaders. People and party cadre rushed towards Shekar for their works. Shekar will update to Hero in Hyderabad on weekly basis. Balakrishna was just ignored other TDP leaders in this channel. Since he is not regular politician, Shekar can’t handle the political pressure on him.
