Two wheeler giant “HERO” Motor Corp wants to establish its production unit in Southern India. Odessa, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have tried their level best to bring HERO to their states. At last, HERO selects Andhra Pradesh and agreed to sign on MOU with state government. As per CBN, the production plant will become complete within 18 months and expected to generate direct and indirect employment to 10K people. Overwhelmed Chief Minister explained his hard work to convince HERO on establishing the production unit in AP during the cabinet meeting. CBN wants to establish one Automobile Unit in state within 100 days of his governance. He personally met Managing Director of HERO Pawan Munjal in Delhi and invited HERO to AP state. CBN predicts “TOYOTO” will also come to the state. HERO seeks to invest 3,200 crores on this project in Sri City SEZ in Chittoor district. AP Government assigned 600 acres of land to HERO. It believes that AP unit will help to capture the Two Wheeler market in Southern Asia. HERO selects the AP because of facility to export its products. Krishnapatnam Port is very nearer to Sri City SEZ. ISUZU was already start it’s work in the SEZ. HERO will be another attraction to the Automobile sector in AP.
