With bitter bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh state, comparisons between both states now look inevitable. With AP all set to usher 24*7 electricity for its consumers from October 2nd onwards, now there is growing pressure on KCR to do the same.
Unfortunately, the fact is that the existing resources in Telangana state may not support the same. However, at the same time there is an opinion gaining ground that the Telangana CM should talk less and work more.
It has been three months since two states were formed but many towns in AP that faced more than 8 power cuts are now getting full power without any cuts. But for TS, this may be different.
Power cuts have come down now only due to more inflows in Srisailam reservoir. But once this stops and demand rises during Rabi season, things will change. And with the onset of summer in coming few months, the situation may get worse.
