TDP leader and AP visionary CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu who always excelled in a clean public image has once again emerged on top. Andhra Pradesh State Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Friday declared his and his family's assets. Addressing a press conference, he declared that his personal assets valued at Rs. 70 plus lakhs and his personal assets value in last year is Rs. 42.06 lakhs. He also said that his bank balance, provident fund of his wife and also gold ornaments have increased compared last year. Chandrababu's wife Bhuvaneswari heads the family business venture Heritage Foods Limited. As per the assets declared by him, the TDP chief has total assets worth Rs 70 lakh, while his wife Bhuvaneswari possessed net assets worth Rs 46.88 crore. Chandrababu's son Lokesh Babu's net assets are worth Rs 11.04 crore lakh and Lokesh's wife Brahmani has total assets worth Rs 5.32 crore. Chandrababu and his family assets showed increase over last year. Chandra baabu said his family concern Heritage Foods, retail outlets and plantations are doing profitable business in professional manner without any hanky and panky manner. He has already submitted the declarations of his assets to the Ethics committee of the AP assembly and hoped that other leaders including his ministers and the opposition leader (YS Jaganmohan Reddy will follow suit) later talking to reporters on the sidelines in lighter vein. Chandrababu said there are always wrongly and misguided reports about Heritage, 'but One thing I assure you that there will be nothing illegal in any manner in my family business'. Even his son of his top officials were not involved in any illegal activities. He said the profits of assets of his son Lokesh had gone down while the value of his daughter in law Brahmani had gone up in view of hike in gold prices. He said the assets of the Nirvana holdings had also gone up by about Rs.90 lakhs. Chaandra babu who had driven the UPA ministers and Ex-Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to declare their assets last year has once again declared his assets and liabilities for the fourth time in a row. We have to see whether the current PM Narendra Modi and other opposition leaders take cue from Chandrababu and declare their assets also soon.
