Kalyana Lakshmi is pet scheme and election promise of TRS Chief KCR in election campaign. The motive of this scheme is providing financial assistance of 51K to the poor girl aged above 18 years who are getting married. After becoming Chief Minister of Telangana, KCR allotted some budget under this scheme in state budget.
It seems very poor response for KCR pet scheme Kalyana Lakshmi from Telangana people. Only 5 applications were received so far for this scheme since its adoption from October 02nd onwards. Of them, four were from Nalgonda and one from Warangal districts. Government officials analyzed themselves that there is no clarity from the Government on existence of Kiran Kumar Reddy scheme Bangaru Talli.
Many people have submitted applications for the scheme and are waiting for the response from the Government. Even Telangana Ministers were made divergent statements on existence of Bangaru Talli scheme. Finance Minister Etela Rajender said Government considers the people under Kalyana Lakshmi those applied for Bangaru Talli.
