BJP Government has taken the decision on forming of New Railway Zone as per the Telangana bill. The bill has promised to establish new Railway Zone in AP within 6 months after the division of the state. The Government has formed the committee in this regard and it has submitted the report to the Government. Reportedly, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has taken the decision in political angle not based on the report.
Suresh Prabhu has finalized to establish New Railway Zone in Visakhapatnam. Suresh Prabhu has already discussed in this regard with BJP MP Hari Babu and Chief Minister CBN. Hari Babu remembered to Suresh Prabhu that BJP has promised to establish new railway zone in Vizag in general elections. Even CBN also gave his consent to establish in Vizag. As per the buzz, the committee has suggested to establish the new zone in Vijayawada instead of Vizag. Discussions are going between Central and State government officials on in giving Special Status to AP.
Special Status to the state will become effective on next Financial Year. Union Government has rejected the state government’s proposal in giving the subsidies to the industries for entire state. AP Government has rejected the proposal initially, but later identified the places for industrial development as per the Union Government suggestions. AP Government has submitted the details of land along with Survey numbers to the finance Ministry.
